High Speed Cameras
High-speed imaging is a tool that can help you understand the motion of subjects that move too fast for the human eye to see. It enables you to capture a sequence of images within a very small amount of time that you can play back at a slow rate of speed to understand what is happening with your subject.
Typical cameras only capture at 30 frames per second. Some high speed cameras can capture 4000 frames per second, or up to approximetely 50,000 frames per second at lower resolutions. Once they are played back at 30 frames per second, we see a detailed slow motion sequence.

MotionXtra N Series
Unlike other "small" systems the N-Series is fully autonomous and thus does not require to be plugged in to a console. The camera shares the same sensors and has the same functionality as other comparatively larger devices. Thanks to a proprietary image compression algorithm the frame capacity is comparable to those of more traditional cameras.

MotionPro Y Series
The Y3 captures 1280 x 1024 images with a speed of 1000 fps (up to 2000 fps in Plus mode and frame rates up to 100,000 fps possible at lower vertical resolution. The Y4 captures 1024 x 1024 images with a speed of 4000 fps (up to 8000 fps in Plus mode and frame rates up to 256,000 fps possible at lower vertical resolution. The Y5 captures 2352 x 1728 images with a speed of 500 fps (up to 1000 fps in Plus mode and frame rates up to 39,000 fps possible at lower vertical resolution). The Y6 captures 1504 x 1128 images with a speed of 1200 fps. A large internal RAM memory, up to 16 GB accommodates long recording times. Two interfaces (Gigabit Ethernet or USB-2) accommodate easy communication with multiple cameras (a mix of Y, X, M and MotionXtra cameras). The new design offers a high refresh rate during recording and playback through the digital HDMI-output. The use of composite materials and a smart mechanical design results in a shock resistant camera up to 100G. The optional battery pack offers backup of the images in case of a power surge but also autonomous use up to 30 minutes.

High Speed HG SeriesFeaturing a Redlake exclusive 1.7 megapixel CMOS sensor, the MotionXtra® HG-100K and HG-LE offer a true replacement for high-speed film cameras. Capable of record rates from 1000 frames per second at full resolution, to an incredible 100.000 frames per second at reduced resolutions the HG-100K offers performance not found in any other CMOS cameras. The HG-LE offers mid-range frame rates and resolution at a price that is easily affordable.
