Andor's expertise in scientific performance optimization has been harnessed once again. Clara has been designed to deliver the highest sensitivity performance achievable from an interline CCD camera

Based around the popular ICX285 sensor from Sony®, the Clara interline CCD is ideally suited to high-resolution cell microscopy and OEM applications. Andor's proven UltraVac™ process, alongside close attention to thermal management, has resulted in deep air cooling to -55°C for elimination of darkcurrent, complementing a unique read noise of 2.4e- @ 1 MHz.

More dynamic events can be followed with outstanding quantitative stability via low noise 10 or 20 MHz readout modes, the data channeled through a trouble free USB 2.0 interface. Andor's iCam technology enables market-leading acquisition efficiency through live cell microscopy softwares.

The iKon slow scan CCDs offer industry-leading low-noise performance, alongside unparalleled thermoelectric cooling to -100°C, enabling better signal-to-noise at longer exposure times than other CCD cameras on the market. The iKon series offer up to 5 MHz readout for rapid frame rate acquisition or fast focusing, along with direct USB 2.0 connectivity to PC.


The iKon-M platform includes a 1 Megapixel NIR-enhanced Deep Depletion model, ideal for Bose-Einstein Condensation. The iKon-M ‘PV Inspector’ has been designed specifically for Photovoltaic Inspection.

The iKon-L is a revolutionary 4 Megapixel, high-sensitivity CCD platform, delivering outstanding field of view, resolution and dynamic range. This platform is used widely across Astronomy and Bio-Imaging OEM applications.

This iDus spectroscopy ccd was designed with the lowest noise to provide an ultra sensitive and high dynamic range detector for use in a wide range of both conventional and demanding spectroscopic applications such as fluorescence, raman, absorption / transmission / reflection and atomic emission. The iDus is offered with a wide range of different format sensors to optimize the detector for your specific application.

As Andor has pioneered vacuum CCD technology over many years, they have thousands of detectors in the field, more than anyone else. These economies of scale now enable us to provide more affordable technology in the form of the iDus spectroscopy CCD detector.
