NeuroCheck is a general purpose image processing software for industrial quality control.

NeuroCheck FireWire-Series

Innovative
Digital image capturing and transmission guarantee noise-free, sharp images with highest precision in color and gray level image applications.

Communication via the IEEE1394 bus (FireWire) allows for online changes of parameters in any capturing situation.

Depending on intermediate results in the inspection cycle, image size, image capturing time, amplification etc. can be set at will.

Optimized
The time-optimized image data transmission allows for the best possible performance in industrial applications. Derived from our application experts’ practical experience, additional camera parameters have been implemented and operation has been simplified even further.

Standardized
The FireWire standard makes for easy connections. Data cables and mains power supply are combined in one connector; additional connections are not necessary. The integration of FireWire technology in NeuroCheck increases standardization and thus adds to the convenience and operation safety of the application.

Versatile
The wide range of NeuroCheck cameras offers the right solution for any application in industrial image processing: from simple CMOS cameras for standard applications to high-resolution color cameras and FireWire line-scan cameras.

The NeuroCheck PowerBox

The NeuroCheck PowerBox combines the power and performance of modern camera technology with the advantages of the new FireWire high-speed bus. The integration of NeuroCheck into a small form factor product relates to high degrees of standardization and so leads to high reliability and ease of use. The PowerBox offers the finest digital camera reproduction giving users an unbeatable combination of NeuroCheck and crystal clear, sharp images. The system can be used for either colour or monochrome image processing and all cameras are progressive scan types for high speed processing.

The IEEE1394 Bus opens the possibility for intelligent camera control, with NeuroCheck and the camera communicating directly. Changes to camera set-ups can be done instantly without the need for hardware switches or modifications.

The system offers state of the art performance when compared to traditional intelligent sensors. The system supports up to 3 cameras, with integration of the cameras within seconds due to the intelligent capability of the interface.

Modern camera technology provides extremely low-noise picture quality with high clock rates for high speed applications. A single cable attachment including power supply make this a highly flexible solution for shop-floor deployment. The NeuroCheck PowerBox system is fully compatible with the NeuroCheck version for standard PC design. Thus it offers all the well-known advantages of the NeuroCheck concept.

The functional metal housing of the computer is suitable for stand alone operation on the shop floor or for control cabinet mounting. The system is also available in an IP54 enclosure if required. The full aluminium housing of the camera with industrial, screwable Firewire connections are appropriate for an industrial operating environment. Mounting options for the cameras are present on all sides.

The NeuroCheck PowerBox contains the latest communication standards including Digital I/O, RS232, FieldBus and Ethernet support for direct PLC communication. Multiple PowerBox solutions can be net-worked giving factory wide quality control. Results can be delivered on a shift basis direct to a specified computer in the organization allowing SPC and functional data immediately. Thus the PowerBox can be integrated trouble-free in modern manufacturing environments.
