CellVoyager High-Content Analysis System CQ3000

The CellVoyager High-Content Analysis System CQ3000 by Yokogawa, is a benchtop system that can acquire high-resolution 3D images at high speed while culturing cells. Applications in the drug discovery market for drug efficacy evaluation screening are increasing every year. The norm has shifted from 2D to 3D and live cell evaluation. In addition, the construction of more complex evaluation systems is sought after, including experimental systems in environments closer to the human body such as organoids that reproduce parts of various organs or organs-on-chips, as well as Cell Painting, which morphologically profiles cellular components and organelles by multicolour imaging using multiple fluorescent dyes.
Yokogawa‘s proprietary technology, the Confocal Scanner Unit “CSU”, and a high-precision temperature-controlled incubator enable stable and precise live cell observation over long periods of time. This allows high-speed imaging with low photobleaching and phototoxicity. Enhancements in the stage control and auto-focus functions enables imaging of microplates. Using the optional dual camera and widefield imaging features further reduces image acquisition time.
The system uses a high quantum efficiency sCMOS camera (up to 2 units allowing simultaneous dual-wavelength imaging with the second camera), fast 100-fps option for high-speed applications such as myocardial and calcium firing, various objectives 2x, 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x and 60x and offers excitation laser wavelengths of 405nm, 488nm, 561nm, 640nm. Yokogawa's proprietary water immersion lens mechanism allows for detailed observation at high and low magnification levels. The water immersion objective lens with high NA allows easy observation of deep areas, uniform illumination effective for tile imaging such as tissue sections, and Target Search for automatic imaging of samples matching the conditions. All this contributes greatly not only to improving the quality of experiments but also to speeding up and automating them. An incubation time of up to 7 days is possible.
In combination with the dedicated analysis software CellPathfinder, which supports Deep Learning, the system can support complex analysis and display results in graph form for easy integration with output data types such as OME-TIFF and Omero.
