pco.panda 4.2 bi UV sCMOS Camera
The Excelitas pco.panda 4.2 bi UV is an ultra-compact, back-illuminated sCMOS camera designed for high-sensitivity imaging from ultraviolet through to visible wavelengths. With a 2048 × 2048 resolution and 6.5 μm pixels, it delivers sharp, detailed images even under low-light conditions.
Ideal applications include fluorescence microscopy, lightsheet fluorescence microscopy, spectroscopy, forensic imaging, spinning disk confocal microscopy, and high-speed bioimaging techniques such as FRET, FRAP, and calcium imaging.
Its UV-optimised sensor achieves up to 90% quantum efficiency at 550 nm and strong UV performance (46% at 240 nm), making it particularly effective for demanding fluorescence and ultraviolet applications. Despite its performance, it requires no active cooling and remains highly compact at just 65 × 65 × 66 mm.
A USB 3.1 interface provides fast data transfer and direct power delivery, simplifying integration into existing systems.
The Excelitas pco.panda 4.2 bi UV camera is available through SciTech. Application and integration support is available for microscope coupling, software configuration, and workflow setup in research and core-facility environments.
